So once again, Chase was jumping on the trampoline. He was jumping high, and on his descend down he noticed Taige directly beneath him. He arched his body to avoid contact and rolled his ankle. We thought it was a bad sprain, but x-rays showed that he fractured the outside top of his ankle bone that sticks out. And just a few days before scout camp! Bummer!! 2 years ago jumping on the trampoline, on his descend down he landed on a basketball and broke his tibia. So this is his second ankle break on the same ankle, just different spots. This is the 4th broken bone our family has had. We tease Chase because he was involved or responsible for all 4! 3 of the 4 have occurred on the trampoline. As much as my kids enjoy jumping on it, it may be in our best interest to depart with it.
Just after Hallie was born, Chase and Kailan were jumping on our trampoline in Cheyenne. I think it was a mixture of jumping and playful wrestling, when Chase's head went into the side of Kailan's nose and shifted it over. She walked downstairs where I was and instantly I could tell her nose had been shifted. A strong feeling of nausea instantly swept over me! The other broken bone in our family was Taige just this past December. Chase was helping him off of a stool (actually lifted him up by the shins) and Taige flew over Chase's head and landed on his wrist and fractured it. That in a nutshell is our history of broken bones!
